Pixels & Purls is taking a break 💖
After closing my online shop in February, I've now made the decision to put Pixels & Purls workshops and tutorials on an extended hiatus too.
Following the loss of my lovely Mum in May, I've been struggling to find my way back to the creativity and energy that Pixels & Purls needs. As much as I love running workshops and sharing my love of embroidery, I need to take some time away to look after myself.
There are no further workshops planned for 2026, and I'm not currently taking workshop bookings or enquiries for 2027.
I genuinely hope to return to workshops, tutorials and stitchy life in the future, but for now I'm taking the pressure off deciding when that might be

Thank you to everyone who's shopped with me, attended a workshop or supported Pixels & Purls over the years. I've loved sharing my creativity with you and meeting so many wonderful people along the way.
This isn't goodbye. Just a bit of breathing room while I find my feet again.

Launched in 2017 in Norwich, Pixels & Purls is the creative home of Sara Davey, embroidery designer and workshop leader.
Sara creates modern embroidery patterns and leads relaxed, welcoming workshops across the East of England, helping people build confidence with needle and thread.

Today, Pixels & Purls focuses on digital embroidery patterns and in-person workshops, designed to make creativity feel accessible and joyful, with the hope to add online courses in the near future.
